Happy Sunday Friends!!! I have been an exceptionally busy bee this past 2 weeks. I have had the absolute pleasure of working with two different families, as well as working with a few artisan's which has kept me busy. I also had an opportunity to work with a new model, Karissa; we were able to get some fun images that I feel turned out well.
The art featured in this blog post is by a fellow artisan, Kate at Green Goddess Designs. She is a silversmith, that works with heavy gauge silver wire and either nature stones or glass. The results are quite lovely. My set up included 2 strobe lights defused with an Octobox and a Strip Light. I also had a black jewelry bust and a nice piece of black velvet. I set my lights back to soften the reflection on the stone. The image has gone through PhotoShop and a filter to help bring out the natural variations present in the main stone, as usual though my editing after the fact was minimal.
Added in to all the work fun, we celebrated Valentine's Day. Which essentially means for my family anyone under the age of 10 has fun; the adults make it happen. I went into over achieving Mommy status this Valentine's; I made loom bracelets for my daughter's 2nd grade class. As if my plate couldn't be more full, I did some volunteer work at my son's school. As the saying goes, no rest for the wicked.
